Day 4

Fez - Middle Atlas - Erfoud - Merzouga

After an early breakfast, at 08:00, cross the cultivated and fertile valley of Saiss to Imouzzer de kandar with its beautiful nearby lake 'Dait Aoua' and then to Ifrane, a charming ski resort, and Azrou, a typical town. Berber with their flat-roofed earthen houses. Continuation to Midelt located at 1600 m altitude and where we can take a break for lunch. The road crosses magnificent forests of cedars, pines and oaks. This particularly varied itinerary from north to south offers a diversity of impressions through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where nomadic herders live in black tents and move with their herds of goats and sheep through these mountains in the warm season until desert areas in winter. Follow our route to the Sahara Plateau before starting the ascent to the High Atlas Mountain, where we will see some of the most beautiful landscapes so far thanks to the geological variety of this mountain range, as well as its valleys of date palms, fortified villages made of earth. After Errachidia, we will enter the country of Tafilalet, where the current royal family originates from, and we will admire this legendary valley called Ziz, which runs along a deep canyon to Erfoud. We will drive to the sand dunes of Merzouga, where we will enjoy the enormous silence, we will watch the sunset over the desert while taking a camel ride through the spectacular dunes of the Sahara of Morocco, where our team will welcome us in our private camp in the desert. We will spend the night in our luxury tents. A traditional local dinner will be served and local musicians will entertain you under the stars.
